Have you ever felt that the astrological gemstone is not bringing in good results even after it is aligned with your planet? One of the reasons can be that you did not carry out a proper pooja according to astrological rituals. Every gemstone has a different ritual. For instance, ruby stone has a different process of Vedic pooja you must do to activate the energy of the stone. Let’s understand the simple steps of this pooja in an easy way.

Significance of Ruby in Astrology

Ruby is the gemstone of the Sun or Surya. In Vedic astrology, it is worn to bring success, wealth, and happiness. Many astrology believers consider wearing this stone to lower Surya’s ill effects.

If your Sun is weak in the birth chart, you struggle with career growth, confidence, and life aspects. Ruby, also known as Manik stone in Hindi, helps strengthen the Sun and harness its power. It boosts self-esteem, clears confusion, and gives motivation to achieve goals. Read More: How Can We Get Success and Wealth by Wearing Ruby Stones?

When to Wear Ruby Stone

Manik is associated with the power of Lord Surya, and that is why it is worn on Sunday. The best time to wear a ruby is morning, before 10 a.m., during the Shukla Paksha. Make sure that Amavasya does not fall on this day.

You should craft a Manik ring in gold for the best results. But copper or Panchdhatu (five-metal alloy) can also be used. Make sure whatever jewelry form you choose to craft the gemstone, it should touch your skin directly.

A ring is the best way to get maximum sun's (planet) energy, but you can also wear the stone as a pendant. But it is essential to perform the Vedic pooja for the pendant also.

Important Precautions After Wearing Manik Stone

By the below-mentioned tips, you can make sure you receive maximum ruby benefits.

  • Do not remove the stone frequently.
  • If you remove it accidentally, dont worry, wear it again following the same Vedic pooja as mentioned above.
  • Ruby takes at least 1 week to show its effects. Thus, it's important to have belief in the gemstone’s energy. In case you observe negative impacts, remove the stone again and follow the Vedic pooja process again.
  • Do not wear another gemstone in combination with the stone until an astrologer suggests it. This is because some gemstones' energy does not go well with the manik stone. For instance, you should not wear Shani ratna, which is a blue sapphire stone with a ruby. Both gemstones have different energies.
  • Always buy a ruby from a reputable seller. Check for the authenticity of the stone. You can tell a real ruby by eye if it has a rich red color with few inclusions.
  • Ruby is mistaken for a gem like red spinel so its better to have an authenticity proof (gemstone certificate)  for the stone you buy. Read More: Best Gemstone for Surya: Ruby or Red Spinel
